Our garden log cabins are always built using logs sourced from slow-grown Siberian spruce. These Siberian sourced logs have all been kiln-dried well before being milled down to their final form and profiled in order to guarantee a uniformed, and sturdy log wall system that will have far less settling than other cabins, as well as much tighter fitting joints.

When it comes to the thickness of the log cabin walls you need to consider what kind of design you want, and what kind of use you want to get out of your timber building. While all the wall thicknesses can be found in the Technical Data section of our website, our timber building designers are able to blend walls from one design layout into another (for an adjusted price) in order to make sure you get the bespoke log cabin that you want.

Pine logs need to be milled carefully and correctly, using top end machinery that won’t twist and split the wood. Then the timber needs to be kiln dried at the right temperature for just enough time to achieve the correct moisture levels. The wood then needs to be left to rest and stored in the right conditions.

To ensure that your timber building reaches you in the optimum condition every cabin is built to order. This ensures that the wood is from fresh stock that has been stored for just enough time to achieve the right levels of moisture. We then know that it is reaching you in prime condition then once it has been erected whether it is going to be used as a garden building or a holiday cabin we highly recommend that it is treated to ensure that it maintains its quality.
